We are looking to add to our team!

At Little Qualicum Cheeseworks we strive for excellence in all areas. We have an energetic and goal oriented environment in a unique facility. Our seasonal cafe is getting ready to open for the summer!


  • Work hard, conscientiously and honestly in all undertakings.

  • Be friendly and courteous at all points of contact with the general public, volunteers and staff.

  • Initiate, innovate, create, improvise, and experiment. Make yourself and your ideas heard.

  • Communicate regularly with managers

  • Be willing to work independently, but also seek ways to work as part of the business team.

  • Respect the confidentiality of the business and future plans; do not share them with others outside of the business.

  • Be purposeful in learning areas of new development or specialization.

  • Be willing to work flexible hours as necessary.

  • In all activities, seek excellence.

  • Any hours worked in excess of 40 hours/week will be paid time and a half overtime.


  • Greet and serve customers

  • Prepare food and equipment for the day

  • Prioritize and organize tasks on a daily and weekly basis

  • Ensure quality is maintained in each aspect of food preparation

  • Keep a general knowledge of product on hand and upcoming orders/specials etc.

  • Problem solve if/when shortage or over-stocking occurs to minimize waste

  • Manage risk of contamination with diligent cleaning/sanitizing of workplace

  • Ensure food safety procedures are adhered to

  • Look after daily/weekly cleaning and sanitizing checklists in café areas and other common areas as needed.

Experience & skills:

  • Experience an asset but not required

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects

  • Must work well with others


  • FoodSafe (preferred)
